Coyote Ranch on September30, 2006 was perfect — the weather was cool but the night was clear. Blue and white balloons and silk flowers greeted our guests to make the PepperTree Area our own. Tables were decorated with school colored linens and candles and flowers. Classmates and their “dates” arrived dressed casually and ready to reunite. We drank beer and wine — boy, did we drink! — and ate great BBQ. As the evening turned to night, the ranch staff built us a bonfire and brought out the goodies for s’mores. Jamie Hogan played DJ all night, spinning tunes from the 70s, many of which were carted in by our own Robert Costa. At the request of Sheila Messina Nelson, Jamie taught the Electric Slide to anyone willing to step onto the dance floor. Alison Chase Ochoa said the reunion was way more fun than any of our high school dances! More than 100 people came to the event. Check who was with us.
John Elwell had the fantastic idea of a “class photo” that you can see below. Sartorette Elementary School had a mini-reunion and took their own photos; those are posted here, too (together with the “before” shot from 5th grade).
We had a wonderfully successful fun raffle of cash and prizes, many of which were donated by our classmates. The night was over much too quickly for those of us who left when the official party ended at 10:30 … There are stories from the “after party” at the Holiday Inn Silicon Valley, but it’s probably best that they remain private …
